Catnip Biscuit Recipe

As an owner of two cats, I’m very aware of the calming effect catnip has on them. So I
decided to safely give them another way to indulge in their favourite crazy pastime.

  • 1 1/2 cps of wheat or white flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of catnip
  • 1/3 cup of powdered milk
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 egg

  • Preheat the oven to 175C
  • Prepare a non-stick baking tray
  • Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl
  • Add in wet ingredients to form a soft dough, then add in a little more flour if the dough is sticky
  • Roll the dough out onto a non-stick surface and carefully cut the dough into bite-sized squares or use a cookie cutter
  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and allow to cool
  • Store in an airtight container or freeze and thaw as needed.

Always consult with your vet about any
allergies your cat might have. These are healthy snacks and should not replace a
regular diet.
